SUE IS AN ACCOMPLISHED ATHLETE

Sue was a two-time first team all-state basketball player in high school scoring over 1,900 points.   During her junior year, she set the Connecticut all-time record for 3-point field goals in a season and in a single game.  She also led the Connecticut Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympic Team in 3-point goals.

Sue received a Congressional Nomination from former Congressman Sam Gejdenson to he United States Military Academy (West Point) while she was being recruited to serve on the school’s basketball team.  Ultimately, she accepted a basketball scholarship with American International College in Springfield, MA.

 

More recently, in 2015, Sue qualified to become a national body builder with the National Physique Committee (Figure Category) and competed in the IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) Pro Qualifying Team Universe Championships in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Shortly after she competed nationally, Sue discussed her inspiration for fitness, her time-management, and self-discipline techniques with Oxygen Magazine.  As a registered nurse and a successful athlete, Sue enjoys inspiring others to become physically active and live a healthy lifestyle.

 

Also in 2016, Sue became an All-American discus thrower, ranking in the top 24% of discus throwers in her age bracket worldwide (World Masters Athletics).
